Clinton, Ind – Chauncey Abernathy, 89, 241 N 3rd St, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday in Vermillion County Hospital. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are the widow, Mae; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Karanovich Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday

Note: Chauncey was born 26 August 1882 in Covington son of Samuel and Humanza Lowe – he married 24 Sept 1907 Bk 13 p 111 Fountain County May Kearns (3 Jan 1890 Perrysville died 19 Jan 1975)
